A trio of singers will perform Broadway songs as the "Bachelors of Broadway" at 7 p.m. Friday at the Shelton School District Performing Arts Center at Shelton High School, 3737 N. Shelton Springs Road.
The event is part of the Mason County Concerts Association's annual season.
Admission is $30 at the door. Tickets for the last four shows of the season are available for $80. Tickets are also available at masoncountyconcerts.com.
The singers of "Bachelors of Broadway" are from the stages of New York City. They will sing tunes from modern and classic shows that include "Wicked," "The Phantom of the Opera," "Jersey Boys," "42nd Street," "Hamilton," "Miss Saigon," "The Greatest Showman," "Dear Evan Hansen" and "Les Miserables" and more.
The Mason County Concerts Association has brought entertainment to Shelton since 1949. It is part of the national community association established in 1926 to bring "world-class" music and entertainment to small towns. Season ticket holders can also enjoy concerts presented by neighboring communities through special reciprocity agreements.
The season continues with the violin-piano duo of Yang & Olivia from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 23. The two perform contemporary and classic works from throughout the world. Violinist Yang Liu is the winner of the 12th International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, the first-prize winner of the 2022 Medici International Competition, the 2021 International Artists Competition, and the first-prize winner of China's fifth national competition. Olivia promotes music of Chinese and Taiwanese heritage at music festivals and conferences.
Pianist Jason Lyle Black performs songs from the stage and screen from 7 to 9 p.m. March 14. He has performed concerts in 30 states and as a performer has visited more than 30 countries. He also performs on cruise ships.
According to his website, Black has reached more than 30 million people worldwide through his music videos. he performed on the "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." He has also performed on Fuji Television in Tokyo and on TV and radio programs in the United States. He has recorded six albums, performed at private parties in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, and taught piano to Academy Award-winning stars.
The season concludes with "Legacy Motown and More" from 3 to 5 p.m. April 27. Legacy is an international male vocal group from New York City. The cast includes members from Broadway's acclaimed production of "Motown the Musical." A news release from the Mason County Community Concerts Association states "these remarkable entertainers deliver show-stopping performances featuring iconic concert hits spanning from The Beatles to Bruno Mars and everything in between. With dynamic performances witnessed all over the world in theaters, luxury cruise lines, performing art centers and corporate events, Legacy's shows are filled with powerhouse vocals, smooth dance moves and genuine charm. Their signature show, 'Motown and More,' invite audiences on a high-energy musical journey through decades, offering something for everyone."
