Dedicated to the citizens of Mason County, Washington since 1886
At Mason Health, Kelly North has been promoted to director of clinic operations, overseeing all Mason Clinic operations, including Mason Clinic-Hoodsport.
North, who joined Mason Health in November 2019, has been a pivotal figure in the organization's growth and success, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep passion for patient and operational excellence, Mason Health wrote in a news release.
"I am incredibly excited to take on this new role," North said in the release. "This is a career path I've been working toward for years. Mason Health has been wonderful to work for, and I'm thrilled to continue making a difference within the clinic system, improving processes and supporting our incredible teams."
North played a critical role in managing the integration of Mason Health's primary care clinics into the Mason Clinic building during the COVID pandemic. Her leadership fostered team development, standardized processes and enhanced collaboration across departments. She is especially proud of her contributions to creating a team-oriented environment that prioritizes patient experience and care.
In her new position, North will focus on operational and strategic leadership across the clinics, collaborating closely with providers, department managers, and teams to identify and implement improvements that benefit both patients and staff. She aims to build upon her achievements in primary care by working more closely with specialty practices, care coordination and other integral departments.
"Kelly has developed a stellar reputation for her collaborative approach and unwavering commitment to patient and provider satisfaction," Eric Moll, chief executive officer of Mason Health, said in the news release. "Her leadership, work ethic and dedication to rural health care make her an exceptional choice for this role. We're excited to see her vision come to life as she transitions into this position."
North's career spans over three decades in health care. The Washington native started working in the field during high school in Everett. She spent 24 years with Western Washington Medical Group, including working as the practice administrator. After moving to Port Angeles in 2011, she worked for eight years as clinic manager at Olympic Medical Physicians, where she oversaw general surgery, women's health and walk-in clinics.
Since joining Mason Health, she became a certified rural health care professional in 2023 and was named an employee of the month that year. Outside of work, North enjoys yard work, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
