Our Community Credit Union donated $21,300 to the Shelton Police Department to buy several FLOCK Safey System cameras that read and store license plate information for 30 days of vehicles at major entrances to the city. "We value our continued partnership with Our Community Credit Union," Shelton Police Chief Chris Kostad said in a news release from the city. "We appreciate their commitment to the safety of our citizens in Shelton and the surrounding communities." If the system detects a stolen or wanted vehicle, an automatic notification is sent to on-duty Shelton Police officers detailing the vehicle's location, a description of the vehicle and the reason the driver of the vehicle is wanted.
