Beatrice E. Sande

Beatrice E. Sande, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and community spirit.

Born in Seattle, Washington, on January 15, 1933, to Andrew and Sybil Duval, Bea's journey through life was marked by devotion, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to those she cherished. At the tender age of 14, Bea met her soul mate, Allan Sande, they were married three years later, and their love story blossomed into a beautiful 72 year partnership. Together, they began their life filled with laughter and joy in their cozy cabin on the canal in Tahuya. They remained in Belfair where Bea nurtured her family and created countless memories.

Bea's heart was as expansive as her community involvement. She dedicated her time and energy to the schools of her children, the Red Hat Society, Toys for Tots, and the Children's Hospital Guild. Her warm smile and generous spirit were felt by many, especially during her time working at the 'Belfair Clothesline' and 'Something Special'. Bea truly embodied the essence of giving and made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Beatrice is survived by her three loving children: Allan R. Sande, Jr. (Susan), Ron Sande (Karen), and Allison Smith (Tim). She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and a delighted great-grandmother to five. Her family was her greatest joy, and her influences will continue to resonate through the generations. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allan, Bea lived her entire adult life in Belfair, where she was a vibrant presence in the community. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church, where her faith and commitment to service flourished.

A memorial service celebrating Bea's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at Christ Lutheran Church. Her kindness and compassion touched countless lives, and her legacy of love will be forever cherished.

Beatrice E. Sande will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her incredible spirit and the love she shared. In the hearts of her family and friends, she will remain a guiding light, inspiring all to embrace life with the same joy and generosity she exemplified.
