A Portland man who allegedly threatened to kill a Shelton woman in online postings is wanted for felony harassment.
Judge Monty Cobb issued a warrant for Steven Ray Smith, 35, on Sept. 12 after the most recent alleged threat was posted on LinkedIn, a business and employment social media platform.
An abuse and content enforcement employee at LinkedIn contacted police about “threats of violence and imminent danger,” according to a Shelton Police Department probable cause document.
An account under the name “Dead Ninja,” posted numerous threats about Shelton resident Saber Cybulski and her brother Richard on July 15, the LinkedIn employee told police.
SPD Sergeant Downs reviewed the postings that were made at 4:07 a.m.
“’Dead Ninja’ writes, ‘Richard Cybulski You were warned.’ ‘I made my intentions clear.’ ‘Now I will start killing your family.’ ‘Call my bluff [expletive].’ ‘They are all dead!’ The author, ‘Dead Ninja’ makes 2 comments on the post. 1st comment is, ‘I encourage you to RUN!!!!’ the 2nd comment says No more games, it is time for your Families to die,” Downs wrote in the probable cause document.
Seven minutes later the postings continue.
“’Dead Ninja’ posts a picture of what appears to be a short barrel shotgun with a comment, ‘I told you [expletive], I WASN’T PLAYING, RUN YOU [expletive] 2-FACED LYING COWARDS!!!’” the document states.
Five minutes after that “Dead Ninja” posted more pictures of guns stating “YOUR LIFE IS OVER,” Downs wrote.
Four more threats were posted by the account threatening the Cybulskis, including, “I will hunt you down like the pathetic [expletive] you are,” “You know I’m already in Shelton” and “I told you [expletive] if you made me come after you I would cut off your fingers and toes before I murder you,” according to the document.
After looking through the posts, Downs contacted Saber Cybulski.
“Saber quickly said something to the effect of, is this about Steven?” Downs wrote.
Saber Cybulski and Smith have a child together, she said, and “when she broke it off with Steven, he began to harass her on every social media platform,” the probable cause document states.
This was not the first time Smith faced harassment accusations.
MACECOM received a complaint in November about Smith threatening Shelton resident Amber Hanson, who is Saber Cybulski’s sister, according to court documents.
“Befor [sic] I burn your house down. I told you and your sister, if you tried to take my son away, I would murder you both. I tried to keep things peaceful. You think an order of protection is going to stop me from taking your life? All I wanted was to see my son twice a moth. [sic] Now I’v [sic] made arrangements [sic] to burn your house down. When you run for life and try to come outside, i’ll [sic] be waiting with a gun. Go ahead, call the police. They wont [sic] make it in time,” Smith’s alleged email to Hanson said, according to Mason County Sheriff’s Deputy Brock.
Police were called again in December after Smith reportedly called Mason County resident Louella Hanson threatening to kill her.
Hanson is Saber Cybulski’s grandmother, according to court documents.
“Your family kidnapped my son, I know where you live, I’m coming to the reservation with a gun,” the caller, Hanson identified as Smith, allegedly said.
“She advised since the separation Steven has threatened several of her family members. She advised she is concerned for her life as he had visited her home several years ago and since he didn’t have custody of his child any longer that could make a person unpredictable and unreasonable,” MCSO Deputy Lair wrote in a probable cause document.
Lair wrote Smith was “homeless” living in Portland at the time of the report.
Cobb set Smith’s bail at $25,000.
Mason and Multnomah counties do not list Smith as currently in custody.
