The Shelton boys finished 15th and the girls finished 16th as a team at the 64th Shelton Invitational track and field meet April 27 at Highclimber Stadium in Shelton.
Shelton senior Anthony Sanchelli finished fifth in the discus with a throw of 146 feet, 7 inches, and finished sixth in the shot put. Junior Benjamin Morford placed fifth in the high jump with a height of 5 feet, 10 inches. Freshman Justice Bloomfield placed eighth in the 100-meter hurdles.
Sophomore Bennett Henry finished 10th in the javelin and senior Carson Bursch finished 12th in the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter races. Freshman Oscar Castellanos, senior Toby Bartholomew, junior Kaiden Ferguson and Morford finished 12th in the 4x100 relay race.
In girls results, senior Lily Bennett finished second in the 3,200-meter race in 11 minutes, 55.73 seconds. Senior Maryjane Hageman placed third in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.09 seconds and took ninth in the 300-meter hurdles.
Freshman Alisha Carpenter placed 11th in the 1-mile race and junior Yeni Mendoza Pablo finished 15th in the shot put.
The North Mason girls finished 13th at the 64th Shelton Invitational on April 27 at Highclimber Stadium in Shelton.
Junior Adrianna Tupolo finished second in the javelin with a throw of 107 feet, 1 inch, third in the discus with a toss of 104 feet, 2 inches and placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 34 feet, 10 inches.
In boys results, senior Keegan Bonnell finished fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 39 feet, 8 inches. Junior Blake Evans finished 13th in the 300-meter hurdles.
The 4x200 relay team of freshmen Brayden Johnson, Bonnell, Cameron Williams and Logan Beckett placed eighth and the 4x100 relay team of senior Woody Tupolo, Bonnell, Evans and Beckett finished in 14th place.
North Mason competes today at 3:30 p.m. in the 2A Olympic League championship meet and at 10 a.m. Saturday at North Kitsap High School in Poulsbo.
Shelton competes next at the 58th Shaner Invitational Track & Field Meet at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at Tumwater High School.
