Edee Loleta (Lauber) Larson was born January 8, 1929 in Portland, Oregon, and died March 15, 2024 in Shelton, Washington.
She attended Washington State College (University) where she met her husband Doug Larson. They married September 4, 1948. Upon Doug's graduation from Veterinary School they moved to Olympia, then to Enumclaw before settling in Shelton in 1956, where they established Shelton Veterinary Hospital.
Edee was involved in the community as a Mason County Forest Festival Board member and Queen's Court Chaperone for seven years, a 57-year member of P.E.O. Chapter B, a PEO Past Washington State President, an honorary member of Skookum Rotary, and a longtime volunteer at OysterFest. Her joys in life were traveling with Doug, their 25 years of horse packing in the Pasayten Wilderness, and time with her family.
Edee was preceded in death by her husband Doug, and sister Loraine. She is survived by her four children, Shayne (Mike) Frankel, Scott (Sue Ann), Michael (Debbie) and Mark (Chrissy), 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Shelton Senior Center from 1-3:00 p.m.
