Katherine Ellen (Ivie) Madtson

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Katherine Ellen (Ivie) Madtson, passed away March 4th, 2024, at home with her family.

Childhood sweethearts, Kathie will be remembered as a dedicated wife to Joel for nearly 59 years. They were together for more than 63 years. Steve and Kim were blessed as Kathie loved her children fiercely. Grandkids, Bryce (Candice), Aaron, Michaela and Joey were her shining glory!

Kathie loved going to band competitions, selling band quilt raffle tickets and watching hours of soccer, football and baseball games to support her children and grandchildren. Family meant so much to her! Kathie loved being a nurse. She dedicated more than 25 years to her patients and their families.

Kathie is survived by her husband Joel, son Steve and daughter Kim, grandchildren Bryce (Candice), Aaron, Michaela and Joel.

A celebration of life will be held April 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Location: Country Estates Recreation Hall - 57 Clemons Rd., Montesano, WA 98563.
