Terry Lee Harkins, 74, died unexpectedly November 9, 2023, at Summit Pacific Medical Center. He was born January 6, 1949 in Walla Walla, WA to Claud E. and Yvonne P. (Hatley) Harkins.
Terry graduated from Mary M. Knight High School, Class of 1967. Following graduation, he worked at Simpson Timber Company before joining the U.S. Air Force and serving during the Vietnam War.
After he left the Air Force Terry returned to Shelton and married Theresa Iversen in 1975. They resided in Shelton and he retired from Simpson after 45 years.
Terry was an avid hunter and was out chasing elk the day he passed. He loved staying active and hardly ever sat still. He loved to brag about out-hiking the younger guys and gals. He lived life to the fullest and was always the life of the party. He was always willing to help anyone in need. If you ever needed something, all you had to do was ask Terry. He loved to find and collect all sorts of old stuff.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Gary Harkins, nephew, Gerald Harkins, and his wife Theresa (Iversen) Harkins.
He is survived by his son, Richard Harkins of Shelton, daughter, Diane Huisingh and her husband Richard of Shelton, two grandchildren, Jordyn and Cameron Huisingh of Shelton, one brother, Larry Harkins and his wife Audrey of Shelton, also many nieces and nephews.
