Shelton bowling

Shelton lost to Aberdeen 1,478-1,402 in an Evergreen Conference girls bowling match on Nov. 16 at Rainier Lanes in Aberdeen.

Alivia Holte led the team with a 151 average and Josefina Francisco-Zacarias bowled a 134.5 average. Kaelynn Robbins, Caitlin Foreman and Marsybel Hernandez-Zacarias each bowled on varsity. Shelton’s Kai Aronson, Hayleigh Jenkins, Sophia Stitzel and Holte each bowled new high games.

The Highclimbers lost to Rochester 1,554-1,483 in a conference match on Nov. 14 at Fairway Lanes in Centralia.

Shelton bowled a season-high baker game 168. Robbins led the Highclimbers with a 138 average. Andrea Fogo bowled a career-high 137, Marsybel Hernandez-Zacarias had a career-high 149, Robbins had a career-high 148 and Lilah Wentworth had a career-high 131.

Shelton hosted Black Hills on Tuesday in the final match before Thanksgiving. The Highclimbers travel to Fairway Lanes in Centralia on Nov. 28 to take on the Bearcats.

Shelton senior punter Gabe Conklin was named to the first team offense on the Evergreen Conference all-league team.

Senior defensive lineman Jerome Nichols and junior linebacker Hunter Leth were each named to the first team defense.

Conklin was named the second team quarterback on offense. Sophomore tight end Bennett Henry, senior wide receiver Omar Zepeda and sophomore kicker AJ Wier also earned second team honors.

Shelton junior defensive back Kody Brotherton earned second team honors.

Sophomore Noa Tuitea, sophomore Masyn Gard, senior Colton Fisk, junior Ben Morford, sophomore Gabe Gouley, senior JJ Miller, senior Jayden Fuller and senior Brad Eveland each earned an honorable mention.

North Mason fall sports

North Mason had several players named to the All-Olympic League fall sports teams.

In football, junior linebacker Steven Neatherlin and junior defensive back Dakota Filer were named to the first-team defense. Sophomore running back Trevon Simons and junior offensive lineman Keaton Crank were named to the second team offense. Senior defensive lineman Aiden Simons and sophomore defensive back Trevon Simons were named to the second team defense.

Trevon Simons was also named a second team punt returner on special teams.

In girls soccer, North Mason junior forward Grace Smelcer was named to the first team. North Mason senior goalkeeper Maggie Bartosovsky and senior midfielder Kaitlyn Klusman were named to the second team. Sophomore defender Briana Cuauhtenango earned the league sportsmanship award.

North Mason senior cross country runners Paige Kelly and Ben Ford each earned the sportsmanship award.

In volleyball, North Mason middleblocker Adrianna Tupolo earned a spot on the second team.
