North Mason is ranked No. 13 in the District 2/3 2A volleyball tournament and will play No. 12 seed Franklin Pierce at 4 p.m. on Friday at Sammamish High School in Sammamish.

The Bulldogs wrapped up the regular season with a 3-2 win against Kingston on Oct. 24 in Kingston and a 3-0 loss to North Kitsap on Oct. 26 in Belfair.

North Kitsap won with set scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-19. North Mason junior libero Alyssa Pomrenke had four aces and eight digs. Sophomore Mari Morris tallied two aces, three kills and two digs, and sophomore middle blocker Natalya Garcia tallied two kills and two blocks.

"Senior night is always a bittersweet ending to the regular season. Our seniors, this year, lead with poise and purpose," North Mason coach told the Journal in an email. "Jordan Young, outside hitter, showed our team determination and consistency. Alba Petrucci, outside hitter, brought her enthusiasm for volleyball to every practice and match. Lauren Wilson, right side, supported her teammates with honest friendship. Though we lost, every point earned was celebrated. We played a great match. The lady Bulldogs look forward to continuing into the post season and representing North Mason High School at districts."

North Mason ended the regular season 7-10 overall and 5-9 in Olympic League games.

If the Bulldogs win against Franklin Pierce, they will play the loser of No. 4 Enumclaw and No. 5 Foster at 8 p.m. in Sammamish.
