The 41st OysterFest celebration, hosted by the Shelton Skookum Rotary Club, kicks off with the OysterFunk concert Friday night, continuing Saturday and Sunday with the West Coast Oyster Shucking Championship, live music, and food from local nonprofits and volunteers at Sanderson Field in Shelton.

Admission on Saturday is $10, with children ages 10 and younger admitted free. Sunday admission is $10, with active military $5 and children 12 and younger admitted free. Event hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for both days are available for $16.

According to the Shelton Skookum Rotary Club, more than 16,000 people are expected to attend the event. Attendees can enjoy the microbrew garden and wine pavilion, and live performances on two stages. Camping and RV sites were available starting Wednesday, but no hookups are available. Kids can check out the educational marine displays and other activities.

The OysterFunk concert is staged from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday.
