Carol Loreen Tucker, nee Carol Coulson, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2023, at the age of 89, in Shelton, WA. She was born on February 13, 1934, in Brownstown, WA, to Victor and Della Coulson.

Carol was a loving, kind, and nurturing wife, mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to caring for others and was known for her selflessness. She also had a wonderful sense of humor that her family enjoyed sharing with her.

After graduating from St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Yakima, Washington, Carol worked as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Pediatrics. She continued her work until the birth of her first child.

Carol had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She had a green thumb and found much enjoyment in gardening. She also had a talent for watercolor painting and sewing. She truly enjoyed reading, especially biographies.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Gerald "Jerry" Tucker, and their children, Doug (Debbie) Tucker, Pam (Ed) Carda, Brian Tucker, and Chris (Guy) Johnston. She is also survived by her brother, Stan (Sandy) Coulson, as well as her grandchildren, Michelle Hopkins, Stacey Christopher, Lindsay Decker, Alyssa McKinney, and Amber Burns. Carol was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Graham, Hunter, Kaylee, and Harrison.

Carol was preceded in death by brother Kenneth Coulson, parents, Victor and Della Coulson, granddaughter, Kaylee Banks, and daughter-in-law, Dolly Tucker.

We would like to thank Teresa Stevens who helped care for her at home for the past two years. Carol loved her dearly. In addition, Jodi Jaske was her hair dresser and close friend of many years; - Carol and Jerry often refer to her as their "adopted daughter".

Carol also enjoyed the friendships of numerous people in the community of Christmas Village over the years, thank you all.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the entire staff of the Intensive Care Unit at Mason General Hospital. Without exception, each and every member of the staff went above and beyond to provide the kindest and most professional care to Carol and her visiting family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Angel Cart (provides refreshment trays to visiting families) or the Father Daughter Dance (fundraising event) at Mason General Hospital, 901 Mt. View Dr., Shelton, WA 98584

Carol will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness and compassion. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
