Dale Lee Bracy

Dale Lee Bracy passed away July 4, 2023, in Olympia, Washington. He was born in Shelton, Washington, on March 1, 1954, to Teddie Ray Bracy and Catherine Lorraine Bracy. Dale attended Southside Grade School and graduated from Shelton High School in 1972.

He started his truck driving career right after high school and became a skilled truck driver who won numerous competition awards at Shelton Forest Festivals. He hauled logs for Manke Lumber and then decided to become an independent truck driver. He contracted with Morgan Trucking in Shelton for several years before retiring his solo career to work for local bulldozing and excavating companies. He retired from Pascher Construction after 18 years.

Dale had a strong work ethic and quick wit and thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and camaraderie that came along with the work. He met numerous people, too many to name, throughout his career that he called friends.

Dale was a loving husband, companion, and best friend to wife Penny for 35 years. They met in June 1988, and later married in Lake Tahoe, California. They enjoyed their numerous pets, dining out, and plotting their next scenic drive adventures. Dale was the world's best uncle to his nieces and nephews, William Harger (Melissa), Dustin Harger, Brittany Mullins, Carrie Oeste (Tom), Ann Saffer (Noah). He cherished his great nieces and nephews, Olivia and Caleb Harger, Eliana and Alex Harger, Brielle and Lexie Mullins. Dale also is survived by his sister, Terrie Ward (Dave); and brother, Randy Bracy (Cindy). Dale was preceded in death by his father, Ray Bracy; and mother, Catherine Bracy.
