Register for Love INC fundraising golf tournament

Golf team registration forms are available for the 12th annual Love INC Golf Tournament & Golf Ball Drop, which is hosted July 24 at the Alderbrook Golf and Yacht Club in Union.

Tickets are also available for the cash-winning golf ball drop staged in conjunction with the golf tournament.

The charity event is the primary source of financial support for Love INC (Love in the Name of Christ) Mason County and its 25 partner churches. The nonprofit connects people in need to Christ, while providing them with goods and services such as furniture, clothing, blankets, backpacks for kids, diapers, medical equipment and financial help. The organization states it benefits more than 1,500 families each year.

Registration fees for teams up to four golfers are $150 per player. The registration fee pays for each golfer's green fees and gives each player a tee pack that includes a sleeve of three balls. Coffee and doughnuts are provided in the morning before the 10 a.m. shotgun start of the tournament, and players will get meal tickets for the awards assembly at the end of the day. The teams of four are eligible for hundreds of dollars in prize money depending on how they finish.

To participate in the Golf Balls from Heaven Ball Drop after the golf tournament, buy a ticket prior to the tournament for the suggested donation of $10 that gets your number on a golf ball that is dropped from a helicopter over the 18th hole. Win $150 to $2,000 depending on how close your ball falls near the hole.

To register your golf team or buy tickets to the golf ball drop, go to Love INC's website at http://www.Loveincofmasoncounty.org or call 360-462-5683.
