Life-saving award

Brent Newell, right, is presented with the Citizen Lifesaving Award by Central Mason Fire and EMS Chief Jeff Snyder on April 5 during the fire commissioners meeting at the CMFE headquarters. Newell entered a burning residence near the intersection of North 12th and King streets on Christmas Eve and helped the occupant get out. Newell suffered minor injuries during the incident.
