Aurora shines bright

The aurora borealis, also known as the northern lights, shone brightly Sunday night through most of the northern United States during an intense geomagnetic storm. Union resident Cathy Warner captured this stunning view just before midnight Sunday from the Annas Bay area of Hood Canal.
