Melvin "Tony" Darel Welfringer

Born and raised in Tacoma, WA, Tony graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953 and married Betty Robey April 27, 1957, and transferred from Army reserves to enlist as a Civil Engineer and Radio Operator until his honorable discharge July 3, 1963.

Tony and Betty raised two wonderful sons, Kevin (Gail) of Edmonds, WA, and Dean (Cindi) of Surprise, AZ. Blessed with grandchildren, Judson (Alex) of Ventura, CA. Kelsie (Adam) Phoenix, AZ. Nolan of Edmonds, WA and Dillon of Edmonds, WA, also great-grandchildren; Masyn of Ventura, CA, Aiden and Adalyn of Phoenix, AZ.

After retiring as a Land Surveyor from the City of Seattle, Tony and Betty moved to a home they built on Harstine Island in Shelton, WA where they enjoyed love, laughter and many great sunsets. A tribute to their 65 years of marriage, and at the family's request, Tony will wait for Betty to join him, and they will be laid to rest together in the Memorial Gardens at Harstine Island Cemetery. Psalm 23.
