Climbers place nine on EvCo football all-league first team
Shelton had nine football players crack the first team all-Evergreen Conference list.
On offense, Shelton senior offensive lineman Logan West, senior quarterback Mason Goos, senior running back Bradley Eleton, senior tight end Brad Tiller, junior wide receiver Gabe Menefee and senior punter Brendon Keizur made the list. On defense, Shelton senior defensive lineman Blaze Andrews, sophomore linebacker Hunter Leth and Eleton at defensive back made the list.
The all-league second team featured senior offensive lineman Ian Wilsbach, senior wide receiver Dante Trikoff, junior defensive lineman Jerome Gouley and junior defensive back Jayden Fuller made the list.
Honorable mentions included senior linebacker Carter Whitney, junior offensive lineman Anthony Sanchelli and junior defensive back Cam Huisingh also garnered recognition.
W.F. West's Daniel Matagi was named the league MVP. W.F. West's Gavin Fugate was named the offensive MVP and Tumwater's Jeremy Hafoka was named the defensive MVP. W.F. West coaches were named the coaching staff of the year.
Shelton's Vandyke makes all-EvCo soccer first team
Shelton senior goalkeeper Taylin Vandyke was named a first-team all-league selection.
Vandyke was the only Shelton player to make the first team. On the second team, Shelton senior forward Madison Gill, sophomore midfielder Tatum Dickey and senior defender Delfina Ramirez all made the list.
Tumwater sophomore Emalyn Shaffer was named the league MVP. The offensive MVP was W.F. West senior Cameron Sheets, defensive player of the year was Tumwater senior Mia Cuoio and Tumwater senior Sydney Woods was named the goalkeeper of the year. W.F. West was named the coaching staff of the year and Rochester won the sportsmanship award.
Climber volleyball receives two honorable mentions
Shelton's Olivia Henry and Jaylin Moore each received honorable mentions on the All-EvCo volleyball team lists.
Herny and Moore are both seniors. Tumwater senior Isabella Burney was named league MVP and Tumwater coach Molly Cichosz was named the coach of the year.
Owls place three on all-league football
Mary M. Knight had three players named to the Coastal League six-man football all-league team.
MMK defensive tackle Logan Walters, linebacker Raymond Oppelt and utility player Robbie Strain all made the all-league team.
Lake Quinault's Cody Perry was named league MVP. Wishkah's Enrique Guzman was named offensive MVP and Northwest Christian's Ethan Hall was named defensive MVP.
