The Highclimbers fell to Tumwater 49-7 in Shelton’s homecoming game Oct. 14 at Highclimber Stadium.
Shelton (4-3, 2-2) travels to Tumwater to take on Black Hills on Friday in an EvCo game.
Shelton girls soccer
Shelton lost two matches to Elma and Centralia last week.
The Highclimbers fell to Elma 1-0 on Oct. 11 at Highclimber Stadium in a nonleague game. Shelton hosted Centralia on Oct. 13 and lost 2-0 in an Evergreen Conference match.
Shelton (2-10, 1-7) traveled to Tumwater on Tuesday and hosts Rochester today in EvCo contests.
Shelton volleyball
Shelton lost two matches to Elma and Centralia in nonleague and Evergreen Conference matches.
The Highclimbers dropped a nonleague match against Elma 3-1 on Oct. 11 in Elma. Shelton hit the road on Oct. 13 and left Centralia with a 3-1 loss.
Shelton (2-8, 1-6) hosted Tumwater on Tuesday and travels to Rochester on Thursday for an EvCo match.
Shelton girls swimming
The Highclimbers earned a 115-47 win against Eatonville in a nonleague swim meet in Shelton on Oct. 11.
Shelton’s 200-yard medley relay team of Abbi Sachs, Fiona Dowling, Lelia Ollenburg and Madeline Allred won the race in 2 minutes, 11 seconds. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Kaylin Mutoli, Madeline Smith, Hailey LaCelle and Alana Rheinhardt won with a time of 2:16. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Ollenburg, Allred, Mutoli and Sachs won with a time of 4:24.
In individual races, Mutoli won the 200-yard freestyle race in 2:18 and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:10. Ollenburg won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:34 and the 100-yard butterfly in 1:08. Allred won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 27 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 1:01.
Shelton travels to Mark Morris in Longview on Saturday for the Southwest Washington Girls Swim Invite.
Shelton cross country
Lily Bennett won the girls race and Jacob Miller finished third in the boys race in an Evergreen Conference cross country meet Oct. 12 at Pioneer Park in Tumwater.
Bennett won the race in 21 minutes, 11 seconds. Madison Lohmeyer finished eighth with a time of 23:44.
In the boys race, Miller took third place in 16:41.33, barely edging out teammate Jaydon Blackburn in 16:41.54. Carson Bursch placed ninth in 17:05. Landon Bursch finished 18th in 18:28 and Jack Parker placed 20th in 18:32. Nathan Gomez took 24th place, Richard Beckman finished in 28th and Jackson Dale earned 32nd place.
The Shelton boys placed second behind Tumwater.
The Highclimbers were back in action at the Evergreen Conference championships Wednesday at Pioneer Park in Tumwater. Shelton will be in action Oct. 27 at the District Championship race at Lewis River Golf Course in Woodland.
North Mason girls soccer
The Bulldogs lost to Bainbridge and Port Angeles in Olympic League matches last week.
North Mason fell to Bainbridge 8-1 at home Oct. 11 before traveling to Port Angeles on Oct. 13, leaving the peninsula with an 8-0 loss.
North Mason (1-10, 1-9) hosted Bremerton on Tuesday and travels to Olympic today for an Olympic League match.
North Mason volleyball
North Mason won its lone game last week, defeating Bainbridge 3-2 at home in an Olympic League contest on Oct. 11.
The Bulldogs (2-7, 2-7) hosted Bremerton on Tuesday and travel to Olympic today in league matches.
North Mason cross country
Kezlie Thygesen took third place in an Olympic League race at Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge in Sequim on Oct. 12.
Thygesen finished the race in 20 minutes, 45 seconds. Cali DuPont finished 16th in a time of 22:53. Paige Kelly placed 33rd, Alexis Antonowicz finished 59th and Sadie Evans placed 60th. Ysaunaa Hernandez rounded out the Bulldogs in 67th place.
In the boys race, North Mason’s Jackson Bergdahl was the highest Bulldogs finisher in 12th place with a time of 18:19.
Hunter Abad placed 51st, Trent Petersen finished 55th and Ben Ford took 56th place. Anders Oldright earned 58th place, Aaron Kilbury finished 59th and Keegan Bonnell rounded out the Bulldogs in 65th.
North Mason raced in the Olympic League Championships on Wednesday at Dungeness Golf Course in Sequim. The Bulldogs will compete Oct. 29 in the Westside Classic District Championships at Chambers Creek Properties in University Place.

Mary M. Knight fell to the Washington School for the Deaf 63-18 in Vancouver on Oct. 15.
The Owls (0-7) wrap up the season on Saturday at 1 p.m. against Wishkah Valley in Matlock.

The Owls earned a sweep of Oakville on Oct. 12 on the road and of Washington School for the Deaf on Oct. 13 in Coastal League volleyball matches.
Mary M. Knight (6-6, 5-1) traveled to Wishkah Valley on Tuesday and hosts Lake Quinault today in league matches.
