Shelton City Council and Shelton Centennial Lions Club member Kathy McDowell speaks Sept. 26 at the groundbreaking of the Shelton Centennial Lions Club basketball and pickleball courts next to the Shelton Civic Center. The club raised about $8,000 through a GoFundMe campaign and the city is providing the labor. Construction is expected to take 40 days.
