Shelton golfers just short of state

Johnson and Budge competed in the District 4 2A girls golf tournament at Mint Valley Golf Course in Longview on Monday and Tuesday. Budge shot a 131 on day one and Johnson carded a 114 to make the cut for day two, and shot a 108 in the second round but failed to make the state tournament. "Overall, I am very pleased with how these two seniors played this season," Shelton coach Lorna Martinson told the Journal. "We will definitely miss them next year."
