Shelton High School senior Alauna Cartsens reacts after learning she broke the Highclimbers' school record time in the mile with a time of 5 minutes, 8.92 seconds during the 62nd annual Shelton Invitational on Saturday at Highclimber Stadium. The previous record of 5:12.98 was set in 1993 by Rima Butler. Carstens won the race, edging out Peninsula High School's Hannah Lee by 0.13 seconds.
