Spring gift fair at Alderbrook course

The Alderbrook Golf Course Activities Committee sponsors a spring gift fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 330 E. Country Club Drive E., Union.

Offerings include jewelry, yard art, photography, woodworking and home décor.

Crazy Love celebrates fifth anniversary May 3-5

Crazy Love Ministries is celebrating its 5-year anniversary as a local nonprofit that provides services to the homeless and those in need in Shelton.

Anyone interested in visiting the Mason County Warming Center (street parking only on Railroad or Front streets) and meeting some of the people involved with this group are invited to do so from 8 to 10 a.m. on May 3 through 5.

Coffee, doughnuts and a tour of the building will be provided.

Mason County Master Gardeners selling plants

Mason County Master Gardeners hosts an online plant sale May 6-10 at mgfmc.org.

Proceeds help the group’s work at Catalyst Garden, education and community garden beds.

Youth Connection hosts Mardi Gras event

The Youth Connection, a nonprofit organization that serves youths and young adults in Shelton and Belfair, hosts a Mardi Gras Gala with a dinner, silent and live auction, and other activities at 5 p.m. May 14 at the Little Creek Casino and Resort in Shelton.

Proceeds from the event will help youths ages 12 to 24 who are at risk of homelessness, or who are homeless, find permanent housing. Tickets are $100, or a table of six for $500. To buy tickets or donate auction items, call Susan at 360-462-0125 or go to the drop-in center at 123 S. Second St., downtown Shelton.

The Youth Connection asks people to vote for it in a contest to receive a $25,000 grant from State Farm to help improve the community.

The deadline is May 6 to vote for the cause at http://www.neighborhoodassist.com.

Pioneer Kiwanis Club clam/crab dinner returns

The Pioneer Kiwanis Club hosts a crab and clam dinner, with a live and silent auction, May 21 at Pioneer Elementary School.

Proceeds from the event go to scholarships for Pioneer School District students and for programs that benefit Mason County children.

Tickets are $40 for adults, and $20 for children ages 2 to 12; kids under 2 are admitted free. The meal also includes spaghetti and coleslaw.

Tickets are available from any Pioneer Kiwanis member.
