Dedicated to the citizens of Mason County, Washington since 1886
Her welcoming smile lit up a room. Her laugh was infectious and genuine, her love and warmth made you feel like you were the most important person there. She had an unshakable faith in Jehovah God's promises written in the Bible, including the resurrection that in the near future will awaken her and the love of her life, Mike Johnson, her husband of 27 years.
Cloie fell asleep in death on February 3rd, 2022. She was 84 years old. She spent her life telling others about this future hope and imagining the day when all her pain would be gone, her health restored and with her loving family around her, she would welcome back her husband, parents, siblings and dear friends to everlasting life on a paradise earth. Cloie was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on January 11, 1964. She taught her three children daily about how creation proves Jehovah's love for humans and as they grew into adults she rejoiced that they also believed and had that same faith that she did.
She loved reading mystery novels, cooking, entertaining friends, watching British TV, her kitties and dogs, her cozy home of 65 years near Island Lake. She loved the huge trees on the property and looking out her windows at that lake her whole adult life. She enjoyed glorious and fondly remembered trips to the British Isles with her friend and another to see the fall leaves on the east coast with her children.
Cloie was always filled with unconditional love for her family and loved ones. She couldn't help but be a mom to whoever needed help. She opened her home and heart to many over the years into her extended family. Her children feel blessed to have had her as their mother and many have expressed their wish she had been theirs.
She is survived by her children, Laurie Dolton and her husband, Russ Dolton, Sean Johnson and his wife Erica and their daughter Kennedi, Julie Fillo and husband Dave, their children, Megan, Ryan and Kelsi and grandchildren, Skylar, Asher and Harvey.
A memorial service will be held via zoom on March 19, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Please contact a family member for date and zoom link.
