Shelton boys swim team places second at districts

The Shelton boys swim team finished second at the district swim meet Feb. 11 at Mark Morris High School in Longview.

Shelton scored 207 points, just 12 points behind first-place Hockinson. Mark Morris finished third with 191 points.

Shelton’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Abram Ordonez, Sean Morson, Charlie Morson and Wyatt Anthis won the district title. The same group also qualified for state in the 200-yard medley relay.

Sean Morson qualified for the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard breaststroke. Charlie Morson qualified for the 200-yard freestyle race.

Wyatt Anthis qualified for the 100-yard butterfly race and Abram Ordonez is a wild card for the 100-yard backstroke. Andrew Karr qualified for state in the 500-yard freestyle event.

The 2A state swim meet starts at 8:45 a.m. on Friday with preliminary races and concludes at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday with the finals.
