David Lee Ledbetter, a resident of Shelton, passed away peacefully, with his wife and family by his side, on January 8, 2022. He was born in Decatur, IL, on January 28, 1963, to Ronald and Carolyn Ledbetter.
David graduated High School and attended college. He was known for being a 'Master Tile Setter' for 35 years, and loved teaching the younger generation his tile craft. He enjoyed the outdoors; motorcycle riding, camping, hiking, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
David participated in Native American Ceremonies with Sungleska Oyate and Thunder Elk Valley, and also attended the LDS Church. He was a member of Abate, and also a member of N.A., who volunteered at the Community Corrections Center for several years. David loved to tinker with stuff and was known as the "Slappy Happy Camera Guy". He will be remembered for always, "Loving Life"...David was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He is survived by wife Margaret L. Coopride of Shelton, Mother Carolyn Davis, and loving step-Father Ron Davis, a brother Jerry Ledbetter, children; daughter Kara Ledbetter, and Alicia, Keith, Wayne, Misty, 14 grandchildren and four great grand children.
David is preceded in death by his Dad, Ronald Ledbetter, brother Rick Ledbetter, and sister Lisa Ledbetter, and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Rogers.
A Celebration of David's Life is being held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 916 N. 12th Street, Shelton, WA, 98584.
