Robert Rivera Bernal

Robert was born August 29, 1961, in Tucson, Arizona and passed away September 12, 2021, in Puyallup, Washington. He grew up in East Los Angeles, California and lived most of his life in the greater Los Angeles area. He has been a resident of Shelton, Washington for the last 17 years.

Robert loved God, his family, and his church family. He was extremely protective over those he loved. He was easy to talk to and made friends quickly. Robert had an effortless smile and a quick wit. His humor was something to behold at times. He enjoyed laughing and just hanging out with people.

As a kid, Robert was very involved in sports, football was his favorite. As he got older, he kept up on sport stats for his favorite teams: Dodgers, Lakers, and Raiders. In casual attire, he most often sported Dodger blue.

Robert is preceded in death by his father Ralph, mother Socorro, and son Arthur. He is survived by his wife Heather, daughter Rachel, son Robert, brother Rick, brother David, brother Billy, brother Rocky (Crystal), sister Irma, sister Linda (Ronny), a multitude of nieces and nephews, and his two precious granddaughters, Ileana (13), and Amora (2).

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. October 23, 2021, at Gospel Lighthouse Church in Shelton, Washington.
