    Pioneer School Board adds member The Pioneer School Board appointed Ellory Rowe to fill a board vacancy at its March 15 meeting. Rowe will assume Position 4, which opened up when Dwayne Kipple resigned. Rowe is a lifelong resident of Mason County, and her daughter attends second grade at Pioneer Elementary School.     Grant for woman to continue schooling The Shelton Chapter GQ of P.E.O. is offering a $1,500 grant to a local woman to continue her education. To qualify, the woman must be a Mason County resident; a high school graduate or equivalent education; and be enrolled in the 2022-23 academic year at an accredited academic or technical college.     The North Mason School Board levy is passing as of Thursday’s afternoon by just 42 votes. In Mason County, the levy is passing with a vote of 2,516 to 2,479.     The state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction reports that 787 school buildings in the state receive “poor” ratings for their heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including 11 buildings at Shelton High School.
